Jack M. Freedman

Jack M. Freedman  Jack M. Freedman was born in Chicago, Illinois and graduated ninth in his class from North Andover Massachusetts High School. He received a B.S. degree in broadcast journalism, summa cum laude, from the Boston University School of Public Communication. He received his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Boston University School of Law. Mr. Freedman was admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and the United States District courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana in October 1984.

While attending high school, college and law school, Mr. Freedman worked as an editor, reporter and photographer for the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, a 50,000 daily newspaper based in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Mr. Freedman began his career as an associate with the esteemed law firm of Barnes & Thornburg in Indianapolis. During his seven-year career at Barnes & Thornburg, he was involved in a wide range of business and personal injury litigation in both state and federal court. He represented such major clients as General Motors Corporation, Uniden Corporation, Fruehauf Corporation, Amtrak and the Soo Line railroad. He had the opportunity to study and learn from some of the finest lawyers in the State of Indiana.

Mr. Freedman has been engaged in general practice since early 1995. In November of 1995, Mr. Freedman began operating the law firm of Freedman & Associates, which became Freedman & Lacy in 2005 and recently returned to its former name of Freedman & Associates.

Mr. Freedman prides himself on his psychological acumen and on his ability to teach his clients to deal with the emotional issues associated with family law conflicts. 

Mr. Freedman has attended numerous educational and continuing Legal Education programs over the last 20 years.  He was a highly-rated presenter at the National Business Institute Seminars entitled "A Roadmap Through Divorce Proceedings" in March, 2007 and "Divorce Fundamentals From A to Z" in February, 2008.

Dee Landers

Dee Landers Ms. Landers is a paralegal and notary at Freedman & Associates. Ms. Landers is a graduate of North Central High School, where she participated in orchestra, softball and bell choir. After high school Ms. Landers earned her paralegal degree from the University of Indianapolis. Ms. Landers has experience in intellectual property law, family law, real estate law, civil litigation, criminal law, estate administration, adoptions, guardianships, small claims, and creditor's rights. Before coming to Freedman & Associates, Ms. Landers worked as a paralegal for various Indianapolis businesses, including the law firm of Rynearson & Associates and Continental Enterprises.

Ms. Landers is known for her positive attitude. In recent years, she has accumulated considerable experience by observing and directly participating in numerous trials, hearings, mediations and other proceedings. She has also developed skills in various types of investigation. Ms. Landers is also a member of the Indiana Paralegal Association.

Ms. Landers is married and lives on the far northwest side of Indianapolis with her husband, Tom, and their sons, Aidan and Peyton, and their pet dog, Kali.

Jennifer Sherwood

Jennifer Sherwood Ms. Sherwood is a paralegal at Freedman & Associates. Ms. Sherwood graduated from Mt. Vernon High School with academic honors. While in high school, Ms. Sherwood played softball and volleyball. She was the clean-up hitter on the Mount Vernon team that won the Girls' State Championship in 2000.  She also set a school weightlifting record in the Girls' Squat. After high school graduation, Ms. Sherwood attended Ball State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies.  Ball State's legal program is one of the top programs in the country. Although Ms. Sherwood worked a full-time job and carried a full course load, she still found time to join and participate in the Ball State Student Paralegal Association and the Mock Trial Team.

Ms. Sherwood started her legal career as a legal secretary at Goodin, Orzeske & Blackwell. Ms. Sherwood has experience in bankruptcy, criminal law and family law. Ms. Sherwood's long-term goal is to attend law school and to become an attorney for Freedman & Associates.

Ms. Sherwood lives in southern Anderson, Indiana with her two cats. She is an avid movie goer and football fan.
